About our Proviso Township Bills Youth Football Coaches:
All Proviso Township Bills coaches are volunteers who have gone through our application process, and are selected by our Football Commissioner to represent the program and their team. Each coach must pass a thorough background check, before they are allowed to be with the teams. We take great pride in our coaches and are extremely thankful for their time and dedication to the program and the kids.
Proviso Township Bills Youth Football Coaches Are:
Certified in concussion awareness by passing the CDC Heads Up Concussion course
All coaches are certified by USA Football through the “Heads Up Football Program”
All head coaches must attend coaching clinics hosted by the Pop Warner and AYFL Youth Football League
All head coaches are certified by American Youth Football and Pop Warner Youth Football through the "Tackle Sure Program"
All coaches attend skill training clinics provided by Pop Warner and AYFL Youth Football League
At least three coaches on each team are certified in CPR and first aid
Teams are equipped with a first aid kit and an AED (defibrillator)
Coaches are supplied with Emergency Action Plans, to help in the case of an emergency
Coaches have access to HUDL, a video program used for studying game film
Coaches are members of USA Football and have access to multiple training libraries
Coaches are given the “PTB Coaching Handbook” which describes our philosophy and expectations
The PTB Commissioner is in place to monitor our coaching staffs and to help the coaches in any way needed
All coaches are assessed by the Board of Directors at the end of each season to determine next season’s coaching staffs
