Below you will find our Treasurer Silvia Portillo's financial records from the past year (starting Aug 2019). They were prepared months ago for our membership, knowing full well that transparency is important to the League and Community.
*Please note that HHLL is
financially responsible for the maintenance and utilities of the Highlander Baseball Complex. We have continued to pay the utilities even during the pandemic. While we are making the transition over to the new board, we will be looking at different options and solutions in regard to these costly expenses. Since we know we won't be back to play on our fields until possibly Spring 2021, we will make every attempt possible to alleviate such costs.

We have started the first phase of refunds and they will consist of the Snack Shack deposits. These deposits were meant to go back to our families once they worked a shift in the Snack Bar and since that cannot happen, this is the first step we can take.
As for registration fees, we are looking at the best case scenario for partial refunds and or credits for the upcoming season. Every youth sports program have been hit hard during the pandemic and you will find that many, if not all of them, have committed to partial refunds and credits. While we do recognize many of our kids (including our own on the Board) never got the opportunity to play a game, you can see in our expenses that we had invested a lot for the 2020 Season. Fiscally, we cannot issue full refunds for registration fees without the League being put in the red and forcing us to illegally write bad checks to our membership. We know that a number is being circulated, but please note that we had 433 kids registered for the 2020 Season.
We will continue to look for more solutions, we know these are tough times for everyone. We will continue to keep you up to date with any new developments.
Snack Shack deposits HAVE BEEN PROCESSED. They will be mailed out in the next few days. Please allow 7-10 business days for it to arrive at the address that was put in the registration. If you have moved, please
email us ASAP to update your mailing address.
We thank you for your patience. Please stay safe and we cannot wait to see you all soon!
