Flag (ages 4-12)
This is in an in-house football & cheer program. Kiah Watters is the Director for Flag Football & Cheer. Teams will be divided by age and experience.
We are piloting 2 teams for athletes 9-12 years old. We must have a minimum of 12 players signed up in order to have a season. If it cancels parents will have the option to cancel for a full refund or move money towards the tackle division. The decision will be made on June 1st, 2025.
These teams will play each other at 9AM Saturday mornings at Armstrong Middle School. The athletes should practice 1-2 days per week for approximately 45 minutes each. We encourage the coach to have parents stay to help take them to the restroom as needed or if practice needs to wrap up early.

FLAG CHEER:
Jr Hornets (7-8 years old)
This is the next step. Jr Hornets is a traveling flag program. Corrin Karkoski is the Director for both Football & Cheer. Jr Hornets was created to help build a bridge from Flag to Tackle. There is more structure and higher expectations. This helps to build a solid foundation and growth within the program. Athletes who have chosen to go from flag to tackle have commented on it being a big jump. Jr Hornets football also does a tournament at the end of the season. JR Hornets will follow a similar schedule to our tackle program. These teams often play between 8-11 AM on Saturdays and are assigned by the MYFL Leadership Panel. Schedule is due to be posted on September 1st. Coaches and athletes must arrive 30 minutes prior to game time. They practice 2 days per week for 1 hour. Parents can stay at the coaches discretion. Jr Hornets Cheer also does a cheer competition at the end of the season while Jr Hornet Football will do a tournament.
