Frequently Asked Questions:

Why is the it more expensive for the Junior High and High School teams, compared to the U12 and younger?

Our U9 & U12 (all of which our considered our "Academy") players only train once weekly, attend one tournament (Southern Ohio Futsal Classic) and play locally at our practice facility. Our Junior High (U14) and High School (U19) players train at least twice weekly and travel to additional regional tournaments, throughout the course of the entire winter. The current cost for registration is determined by the costs associated with gym rental (we do not own our facility), tournament fees, other miscellaneous fees and equipment purchase. Our coaching staff DO NOT receive any monetary payment for coaching and/or volunteering with our club at this time. Equipment for the players, along with any other necessary costs are usually funded through donations to the organization. The total registration fees for our U6 Academy players is $75 and includes shirts, while the cost for our U9 & U12 Academy teams are only $125 and includes their jerseys. The total registration fees for our U14 & U19 divisions is $300 for new players and $250 for returning players from the 2023-24 Winter Futsal season. This covers all costs, except for uniforms for the player, for the entire season, November 2024 through February 2025. Players in the U14 & U19 divisions are also responsible for purchasing their uniforms (which can be used for multiple seasons) for a total cost of $100 per uniform/kit. U6, U9 & U12 players will receive their jersey's free, but will have to purchase their own black shorts and socks.

Does Mean Machine provide uniforms?

Mean Machine has branded with Adidas, to provide premium uniforms for our U14 & U19 players. These costs are separate from the registration fees and the uniforms must be purchased separately, outside of their registration fees. The cost for these uniforms fluctuates and is currently $100 for the entire kit. This includes two jerseys, shorts  and also a pair of socks, all branded through Adidas. Parents can also order fan gear through the club. Players may use their uniforms for multiple seasons, as long as they fit properly and are in good condition, free of any tears or holes. The uniform fees are all due by the first practice of the season.

Our U6 & U9 players will receive two Tim Bits Jerseys at no cost, while our U12 players will receive two Mean Machine academy jerseys at no cost, but each of these divisions will have to purchase their own black shorts and socks.

Club Apparel (Uniforms & Fan Gear)

Do I have to pay all of my registration fees at once?

Academy (U6, U9 & U12) players must pay the entirety of their registration fees by their first practice. For our U14 & U19 divisions, a 50% deposit is due by the first practice, while the remaining balance is due by 12/31. We try to do this, to better accommodate our U14 & U19 parents and them not having to pay all their fees at once. This does not include the uniform fees. The uniform fee is due by the first practice, along with the 50% deposit.

What is the primary focus of Mean Machine Futsal Club?

We have developed our Winter Futsal program so that the primary focus for our players is the development of not just their skill, but their confidence and leadership. We also emphasize development over winning, to ensure that players continue to grow, throughout all phases of their involvement with our futsal club.

What is your Winter Futsal raffle?

When a player completes the registration process and makes a deposit towards their fees, they are provided with tickets towards the winter Mean Machine Raffle. In this raffle, players are able to keep their money earned through the sale of the tickets, so that they may recoup the cost of playing. This Winter Futsal raffle drawing takes place in January and will have a grand prize to be determined by the Mean Machine Sports Board of Directors. Further information is released, following the start of the season. Players, parents, fans and volunteers are all eligible to win various prizes. The drawing is completed live on Facebook, so that there are no concerns of any bias with the outcome of the drawing.

Do you have scholarships available for players, based on their income?

We are working on obtaining funds to offer scholarships and more information will be provided at a later time, indicating the qualifications and how parents can apply for a scholarship for their player(s).

Mean Machine Financial Assistance Information

I would like to volunteer for the Mean Machine!

We love to have people step up and volunteer, if you are interested in assisting in any capacity, please feel free to reach out to Coach Cooper at (740) 274-9126. Various positions do have strict requirements and all volunteers must be approved through the Board of Directors. During our Winter Competitive Futsal season, we do not typically allow parents to be "coaches," unless they have extensive experience and/or are willing to train behind our other more experienced coaches, on the Mean Machine "Way." We do have other opportunities for parents to volunteer, through our "Parent Club." Additional information on this is provided during the season.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to
Coach Jack Cooper at (740) 274-9126 or [email protected]!
