How do I learn the rules for Little League?
the Little League rules App is available on your Android or Apple device for free , the app is updated every year and all the latest rules are updated for your convenience. This is highly encouraged and talked about in our trainings.
We here at D2 run an Umpire's program for both new and experienced umpires. We teach new and experienced umpires the way it is done in Little League Baseball and Softball. We hold a number of trainings throughout the year, along with requested trainings for specific leagues that need umpires or just want them to get some more training prior to or during the the season.
We then ask select umpires to join us for our District Games. We Currently provide umpires for all District (and some sectional) games for 12U and above for both baseball and softball.
Our Umpire in Chief is Mr. Steven Elliot, His assistants for the Training team are JT Tirrell (President of Easthampton Baseball), Marc Winer- (ADA Softball for D2), Mike Winer (trainer)and Ernie Fitzell Jr(ADA-Baseball for D2).
If your league is interested in having our experienced team of umpires work with you please contact us at [email protected] to schedule a time for us to come out and meet your umpires and train them.
If you are an individual seeking training to be an umpire. Please contact Steve Elliot at [email protected]
