Website Manager

So you volunteered to be Team Mom. Now What?

Important Tasks

Team Moms are the backbones of our teams!

Generally, the Team Mom's duties and responsibilities are to do the administrative tasks for the team which will allow the Manager and Coaches to concentrate on developing their players.

TEAM PARENT MEETING - Attend the Team Mom meeting and receive all the information you need to pass onto the manager, coaches and parents.  We will provide you with all the information needed to be the liaison and facilitator of all league activities.

MAKE AN AFTER GAME SNACK SCHEDULE - (If Applicable)  Once you get your game schedule, pick a team player that will be responsible for bringing snacks that day.  Younger players really appreciate and enjoy these snacks and refreshments after a game.  NOTE: Please make sure to check with parents' to make sure their child doesn't have any food allergies.

CONTACT PARENTS - Reach out to your players as soon as you can.  It is your task to keep parents informed of what's going on with the team as well as with the league.

TEAM BANNER - Some teams decide to purchase a Team Banner, which includes the team name, and names of the Players, Coaches, Volunteers, and Sponsors (If Any). If your team decides to have a banner, you can collect donations to either make or order one.

PICTURE DAY - You will need to pass out the picture order forms and inform the families on your team of your scheduled picture time on Opening Day.

TEAM BOOTH - You will need to organize a team booth for our Opening Day Carnival.  Work with your parents and Managers/Coaches on your theme/event, and collect donations so you can purchase the items needed to put the booth together.

SNACK BAR SIGN-UPS - You will need to recruit/ assign the parents to help in the snack bar. The Visiting team of each game is responsible for assisting with the snack bar.  Creating a schedule ahead of time ensures that the snack bar runs smoothly, and all parents get an equal opportunity to volunteer.

SCOREKEEPING - For tournament eligible divisions (Minor and Above), there must be an official scorebook kept for each game.  Whether it is you, or another parent, please make sure that someone is keeping score. (See links to the right for resources on scorekeeping).

TEAM PARTY -  If your team decides to host an end of the season team party, you will need to organize and plan the event.  There are many local restaurants and businesses that will be happy to accomodate!

Don't feel like you have to do this alone...

You can absolutely delegate some of these duties to other parents on your team who are willing to help!!
