CEGCYRA Parent Information - Girls Travel Basketball

CEGCYRA is an organization committed to serving the community through recreational activities for youth. We are dedicated to providing a safe, fun and educational atmosphere in all of our events and activities. It is our desire to bring the community together through sport and recreation. 

Important Information

• The schedule is fairly well set, but there could be some additions or corrections with changes in the school calendars and what other teams are able to field. 

• Uniforms

  • Jersey tops are provided by CEGCYRA - these are for you to keep at the end of season.

  • All girls should be wearing; black basketball shorts.

  • Basketball shoes are not required, but highly recommended. 

• Payment

  • All payments are due by September 30

  • If you haven't already, you will receive a “Welcome to the Team'' email. This email will direct you to log onto your account, accept the team position and make payment. 

  • Players will not be allowed to participate in programs or receive a jersey until payment is made. 

  • If there is a financial concern, please let Rebekah know. All financial requests are confidential.

• Time Commitment

  • This is not a come when you please program. This is a commitment and must be treated as such.

  • If you are going to miss a practice or game, be sure to inform your coaches - well in advance.

• Playing Time

  • Our travel program is not equal playing time, but quality playing time.

  • If a player is missing practices/games, and has bad sportsmanship/attitude - playing time can be affected.

  • If you have a concern with your players playing time, please be sure to work through the “chain of command”.

• CEGCYRA 24 Hour Policy

  • If there is an issue, it is important that you wait 24 hours before contacting the coach, official, or the Director.

  • The 24 hour policy applies to all situations unless it is a safety concern/situation.

• Code of Conduct

  • The Code of Conduct was “signed”/accepted upon registering your child. Please be sure to review this Code of Conduct on our website.

• Game Admission

  • CEGCYRA parents/siblings are free

  • Grandparents & other fans must pay to enter.

• Team Bookkeeper

  • CEGCYRA does not supply a home game book-keeper. It will be the responsibility of parents to do so at all home games, except for the home tournaments.

• CEGCYRA Annual Invite

  • During our home tournament, we will once again host a bake sale.

  • In the past several years we’ve been able to donate all proceeds to local families in need.

  • I am looking for one parent to coordinate the bake sale goods for each team. This person will not be needed to “man” the bake sale, simply coordinate with parents to bake/purchase items.
