A recent bill (AB 506) passed by the State of California added all Youth Service Organizations to the list of organizations whose regular volunteers and staff (volunteers who have more than 16 hours in a month or least 32 hours during the year) must complete training in child abuse and neglect reporting, become mandated reporters, and complete background checks. AB 506 also requires that 2 persons who have completed both a LiveScan and child abuse and neglect reporting training described below to be present while conducting any MPK Baseball and Softball, Inc. activities with youth.
