Central Square Little League

All baseball players will receive a jersey, hat, & socks for the Spring Season.  Softball players will receive a jersey & socks for the Spring Season.

Rookies, Minors & Majors Baseball Players need the following:
  • Glove: A standard baseball glove is essential for fielding.   See the chart below for some basic guidance on glove sizes.
  • Bat: A bat with the USA Baseball logo is required for Little League play.  See the chart below for some tips on choosing a bat for your child.  Please let your coach know if your child needs to borrow a bat from the League for the season. (*note - the use of pine tar or other similarly adhesive substances are not permitted)
  • Batting Helmet: A batting helmet that meets NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) standards is mandatory for safety. We encourage Rookies & Minors players use batting helmets with face masks attached.  Please let your coach know if your child needs to borrow a helmet from the League for the season.
  • Baseball Pants:  Please check with your coach to find out what color your team will be wearing for this season.   Players are welcome to choose whether they wear short or long pants.
  • Belt: A baseball belt is needed to secure the pants. 
  • Cleats: Molded Cleats are necessary for traction on the field.  (NO METAL CLEATS!)
  • Athletic Cup (for boys): Boys should wear an athletic supporter with a hard cup for protection. 
  • Optional Equipment:
    • Batting Gloves: Batting gloves can help with grip and comfort. 
    • Sliding Shorts: Sliding shorts can help protect the player's legs when sliding. 
    • Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is important during games and practices. 
    TeeBall/Coach
    Players are encouraged to follow the list above.  However, this division is much more laid-back regarding the uniform.  While many players do choose to wear a traditional full uniform, baseball pants, socks, belt, cleats & athletic cups are not required at this level.

    Softball Players need the following:

    •  Bat: A bat with the USA Baseball 1.20 logo is required for Little League play.  See the chart below for some tips on choosing a bat for your child.  Please let your coach know if your child needs to borrow a bat from the League for the season. (*note - the use of pine tar or other similarly adhesive substances are not permitted)
    •  Batting Helmet: A batting helmet with attached face mask that meets NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) standards is mandatory for safety. Please let your coach know if your child needs to borrow a helmet from the League for the season.
    •  Softball Pants: Our softball teams wear black softball pants (any length).
    •  Belt: A baseball belt is needed to secure the pants.
    •  Cleats: Molded Cleats are necessary for traction on the field.  (NO METAL CLEATS!)

        •  Softball Face Guard: A face guard can help a player with her confidence levels on the field.  We recommend for infielders and all new players.
