MCLL Volunteer Screening & Training Requirements
To protect players and comply with Little League International and California requirements, all adult volunteer roles in Middletown Cobb Little League (Board Members, Managers, Coaches, Umpires, Team Parents, Scorekeepers, and any other volunteer role) must complete the items below before participating. Training Links are posted at the bottom of the page.
All Managers/Coaches/Umpires should keep a copy of their completed training and submit proof of completion to MCLL Safety Officer [email protected]
How to get started

Register as a volunteer and submit your volunteer application (photo ID verification required)
Complete your annual JDP background check. ( sent via Sports Connect upon registration as a volunteer)

Complete your annual Little League Abuse Awareness Training.

Complete DOJ Live Scan (one-time unless break in service > 1 year) - if required, you will receive an email with instructions/form.
REQUIRED TRAINING: ( LINKS ON BOTTOM OF PAGE)
DIAMOND LEADER TRAINING - Required for all Managers and Coaches of Tournament Teams ( Complete once, review annually)
ABUSE AWARENESS TRAINING: Required ANNUALLY for ALL VOLUNTEERS
This training satisfies the requirements of AB506 for volunteers of youth organizations
FIRST AID AWARENESS- Required for all Managers, Coaches, and Board Members ( Complete once)
CDC HEADS UP TRAINING- Required for Board Members, Managers and Coaches ( Complete Once, Review Fact Sheet Annually)
This training satisfies the requirements of AB506 for volunteers of youth organizations
SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST TRAINING: Required for Board Members, Managers and Coaches (Complete Once)
This training satisfies the requirements of AB506 for volunteers of youth organizations
SAFETY: BUILDING A SAFER LEAGUE: Required for Presidents, Safety Officers and Concession/Snack Bar Coordinators ( Complete once)
