Spearfish Youth Softball Association follows the USA softball abuse policy.


The USA Softball's abuse policy is a comprehensive Safe Softball program designed to prevent physical, sexual, emotional, and mental abuse, bullying, harassment, and hazing through mandatory background checks, SafeSport certification, strict conduct codes, reporting procedures, and education, requiring reporting of suspected abuse to authorities within 24 hours and prohibiting retaliation against reporters. Key aspects include zero tolerance for abuse, required background checks and training for adults, clear conduct rules (no one-on-one communication with youth), and collaboration with the U.S. Center for SafeSport. 

To get your background check, SafeSport certificate and ACE certificate.  Coaches or volunteers need to go to the link below and log in.  Then go to dashboard and click on compliance by your name.  Then complete all that is required.
