WLL Softball

Tee Ball (Ages 4–6) – Practices/Games: Mon, Wed, Fri evenings

• Focus on fundamentals, safe play, and fun
• Hitting from a tee, with a soft introduction to coach-pitch for some players
• No scores or standings; emphasis on hitting, throwing, running, and teamwork
• Recommended for first-year players

Mini Softball (Ages 5–7) – Practices/Games: Tue & Thu evenings

• Coach-pitch only, tee used as needed
•  Emphasis on fundamentals, safe play, and fun
•  Rookie-level games: simplified rules, short games (2–3 innings)

• In-district travel: Richmond, Colchester, South Burlington

Minors Softball (Ages 8–10) – Practices/Games: Mon, Wed, Fri evenings

• Player-pitch / coach-pitch hybrid: kid pitch until 4 balls, coach steps in
• Competitive play: umpires, scores, standings, All-Star eligibility
• Learn pitching, catching, base-stealing, and defensive positioning

• In-district and some local out-of-district travel: Essex, Browns River
  

Majors Softball (Ages 10–12) – Practices/Games: Tue & Thu evenings, Sat mornings

• Full Little League rules: regulation pitching, stealing, and advanced strategy
• Competitive play: standings, playoffs, All-Star eligibility
• Focus on game-situational decision-making and position specialization
• Prepares athletes for upper-level programs

• In-district travel and potential travel to Franklin County

Summer Programs

• All-Star Summer – Early June through August (dependent on tournament progress)
• Senior Softball (Ages 13–15) – Season runs June through mid-July
