2026 SCLL Post Season Interest & Tryout Registration

PLAYERS:

This registration is for players to be considered for the 2026 State College Little League post-season.

Before registering, please review the commitment required for the Local Tournament Team and Little League International Tournament Team (LLIT or All-Stars).

Register for all options you would consider playing in. For example, if you are trying out for the 12u Tournament Team as a Little League age 11, but would be willing to play on the 11u Tournament Team if not selected, you should register for both the 11u and 12u Tournament divisions.

Note: If a player is registered for multiple teams and selected for more than one, the player will likely be placed on the highest team automatically.

This is a two-step registration process:

Indicate your child's interest in the Tournament or LLIT.
If selected, they will be required to register again for the specific team where a payment will be required.

COACHES:

Please register for all roles you would be willing to take on for the post-season (e.g., Head Coach and/or Assistant Coach) for each division.

LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT TEAMS (LLIT)

There will be one LLIT Team for each age group: 10U, 11U, and 12U. Teams will consist of a minimum of 11 players.

Player Eligibility:

10U LLIT: Little League Age 9 and 10 (Baseball & Softball)
11U LLIT: Little League Age 10 and 11 (Baseball only)
12U LLIT: Little League Age 11 and 12 (Baseball & Softball)

Players may try out for either or both teams, depending on their age.

Team Selection:

10U LLIT: Selected through try-outs, evaluations, and scrimmage in accordance with the 2026 SCLL Constitution & Bylaws.
11U & 12U LLIT: Selected by Major Division players and coaches in accordance with the 2026 SCLL Constitution & Bylaws.

Commitment:

The LLIT season involves intense competition, starting with district tournaments and, if successful, advancing to sectional, state, and regional tournaments, with the possibility of the 12U team advancing to the Little League World Series.

Commitment includes:

Daily practices and/or scrimmages before the District Tournament, followed by frequent practices during the tournament.
Availability for the Pre-District Tournament and all District Tournament games.
Participation in additional local tournaments if the team does not advance beyond District play.

Cost per LLIT player: Approximately $200 (final price TBD).

BASEBALL TOURNAMENT TEAMS (TT)

The number of tournament teams for the 2026 season will be as follows:

8U / 9U Tournament Teams: 1 team for each. A second 8U or 9U team may be formed at the discretion of the SCLL BoD based on player and coach interest.
10U / 11U / 12U Tournament Teams: 1 team for each.
Age divisions can be combined under the discretion of the board.

The number of players per team may vary from 11 to 14 players.

Player Eligibility:

8U TT: Little League Age 7 and 8
9U TT: Little League Age 8 and 9
10U TT: Little League Age 9 and 10
11U TT: Little League Age 10 and 11
12U TT: Little League Age 11 and 12

Players will choose which team they would like to try out for. For example, a 10-year-old player may try out for both the 10U and 11U Tournament Teams.

Team Selection:

Teams will be selected through try-outs and evaluations if applicable in accordance with the 2026 SCLL Constitution & Bylaws.

Commitment:

The Tournament Team season involves 3-5 Little League-sponsored tournaments. Most tournaments are local, requiring up to an hour drive. The season is competitive, requiring higher commitment than the regular Spring season, including:

3+ practices and/or scrimmages per week.
Availability to participate in most tournaments.

Timeline:

The tournament season typically spans June and July, with practices starting early to mid-June. Each coach will decide which tournaments their team will participate in.

Cost per TT player: Approximately $150 (final price TBD).

BASEBALL SUMMER REC PROGRAM

The two divisions for the 2026 season will be as follows:

Coach Pitch: For players age 6-8.

Kid Pitch: For players age 9-12, including 8 year olds that played Minors AA this Spring Season.

Important Details:

Season Dates: Starts around June 8th to August 3rd (~8 weeks).

Program Structure: The season will run with practices and games on weekdays and a few weekends. Last year we had 4 teams per division and we believe we’ll have 5-6 per division this year.

Games Location: All games are played at our SCLL fields – no travel required!

Game Schedule: While the schedule is not set in stone, we are attempting to have a more concrete schedule for summer baseball. It will likely look something like this:

Player Pitch: 2-3 Games per week. Played Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Saturday. Coach Pitch: 2 Games per week. Played Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Saturday.

Flexibility & No Full Commitment:

We understand that families have vacations, summer plans, and other commitments. This program is designed to be flexible, and we want to make sure your child can still participate, even if they need to miss a game now and then. Coaches and the league are supportive of these family schedules.

Sign-ups:

Registration Dates: May 11th through May 29th

The fee for all baseball divisions is $70.

Be a Head Coach and pay no registration fees, no matter how many players you have in both divisions!

We need managers, coaches, and volunteers to help make this program successful. If you’d like to volunteer, please complete the volunteer section during registration.

You can register for Summer League & Tournament Tryouts, but can only play on one of the teams. If your son or daughter makes a tournament team and chooses to play for them we can transfer your payment to the tournament team’s registration.

Summer League Coordinator will be Steve Wilk with the help of the SCLL Board.

SOFTBALL SUMMER REC PROGRAM

The three divisions for the 2026 season will be as follows:

Peewee-Minors AA: (ages 7-9 that have 1 spring season or less of minors AA softball experience)

Minors AAA: (ages 8-10 that have 1 spring season or less of minors AAA softball experience)

Majors: (ages 10-12 that have more than 1 spring season of minors AAA softball experience)

Season Dates: Starts around mid-June.

Program Structure: Dependent on interest. Potential to operate in a clinic format.
