About Us

The Clayton Railroaders began in the fall of 2017 with a purpose to support and strengthen the Clayton Little League (CLL) organization by proving a higher level of play to the kids in CLL with tournament teams made up 100% of players who are active and playing in the CLL Spring season. To this day, that is still the passion of many who play and coach in the Railroader organization for players ages 12 and below. We encourage our Railroader players to play Little League ball in the spring, although it is not a requirement. 

Many of the RR coaches are also CLL coaches with various backgrounds including playing/coaching High School and Collage Baseball. We believe that by offering this supplemental level of play with teams made up of players of like skill sets, will only help CLL become a stronger league. We focus on developing players and teams. We work on the basics, and grow from there. We want to build strong teams, a good family atmosphere and help the boys grow in all ways on and off the field. 

We compete in all local and regional sanctioning body travel tournaments including, but not limited to Top Gun, NC Game On Sports, USSSA, Perfect Game, etc. We follow the rules of those organizations, and we play to win. We believe that having your player play against some of the strongest talent in the area, will help them grow and become better at their sport, and as a person. We also strongly believe that having your player play with their friends, with less pressure in a local recreation league, close to home, is also important.
