Ramona Action League Spring Skateboarding Season will provide "pop-up" skateparks where pro skateboard coaches can provide a series of four 5-week coaching sessions for beginner, intermediate and advanced skateboarders aged 6 and up. Start where you are and learn at your own pace.

Beginning skateboarders learn safety, balance, elementary skateboarding skills, and skatepark etiquette. Athletes at this level learn about the different styles of skateboarding, and how to maintain equipment.

More advanced skateboarders progress to more advanced techniques.  These athletes learn to perfect their preferred style of skateboarding, and coaches incorporate competition skills. Outstanding athletes from this program may win a sponsorship to compete in the AM-SLAM regional competitions in the summer.

Lessons incorporate competitive games such as 'Best Trick' or games of 'SKATE', where skateboarders compete for custom boards, gear, tee-shirts, hats and other non-cash prizes. Ramona Action League will host a big community "street league" style competition in the Spring where our athletes can show off their skills to family and friends, and compete for custom gear and non-cash prizes.
