Re-Appointment of Gordon Ferguson (Fergie)

as Director of Coaching & Player Development

Kickers FC Soccer Club is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Mr. Gordon Ferguson (Fergie) as Director of Coaching on a new 5 year contract, beginning August 1st of 2018. Fergie has over 25 years of professional experience coaching competitive International and United States youth soccer. He has spent the last 10 years as Coaching Director for Kickers Soccer Club. Fergie has enjoyed great success coaching youth soccer in the U.S. winning numerous regional and local tournament events with both his boys and girls teams.

In the process he had the privilege to coach players who moved on to become professional players, and numerous collegiate student athlete scholarship recipients. Fergie has been critical to the success of building the clubs boys and girls youth competitive programs for Kickers Soccer Club. "Kickers FC a local competitive soccer club has undergone extensive reorganization efforts over the past year to ensure Kickers FC maintains its state recognized position as one of the top-rated youth soccer clubs in Minnesota for both its boys and girls programs," stated Michael Sajatovic CEO of Kickers FC. "After careful consideration by the Board, it was clear that the historical success of the club was due, in no small part, to the passionate efforts and leadership of Fergie over the past 10 years. We are proud to recognize Fergie for those efforts, and we are delighted he has agreed to a new 5 year contract."

Kickers FC was established in 1955 and is proud to be the oldest soccer club in Minnesota. Kickers FC is a recognized non profit soccer organization established for the sole purpose of providing an opportunity for children to learn and play youth soccer at a competitive level. Kickers FC is recognized as one of the top competitive youth soccer clubs in the State. We are proud of our many past players who are members of collegiate and professional soccer clubs.
