Competitive Level U9-U10
Kickers FC Green This program provides a competitive environment for our male and female players to prepare for the highest competition levels. These players are provided parent coaches, trainers, and state of the art facilities. The program is developed and overseen by the Director of Coaching. These years are filled with growth potential for all the athletes regardless of current level of play. The club recognizes that athletes are growing in many ways and acquiring various skills at different times. Placement is based on the athlete’s current level, and the players readiness for competitive soccer. We have structured this with a careful approach to the appropriate player development models supported by USSF research.
These teams will be placed to play in a competitive bracket within the associations and tournaments by the club. The placement is determined by their skill level and the club’s goals of building competitive teams.
1. Time Commitment
During the fall season for U9-U10 (late August through early October), the average number of training days will be 1-2 day per week with competitive league games on most weekends. There will be one fall tournament scheduled.
The average number of training days during the Winter-Spring-Summer season is 2 days per week. Training begins in mid-January and runs through March indoors for 10 weeks. We transition outdoors as soon as fields become available. Training continues onward through spring until the end of the competitive season. Twin Cities Soccer League games and other tournament play typically begins in early May through the end of July. During the Spring-Summer season, there will be two weekend tournaments played.
2. Financial Commitment
Green Team Player Fee for U9-U10 is $1050 for the year.
No additional fees are required to play or train.
It is important to note that events such as in-state tournaments are considered an integral part of the Green team program. A commitment by parents to the program is a commitment that their son or daughter will attend all the team’s events.
3. Travel Commitment
The Green U9-U10 is traveling soccer and will require driving to league games and scheduled tournaments. There are no club planned overnight stays at this age.
Should a team decide it wishes to travel and stay overnight for a tournament. The individual families will have to pay for their full expenses for transportation, meals, and hotels for these tournaments. The costs for transportation, meals, and hotels have not been added to the financial commitment for any of our competitive programs.
4. Volunteer Commitment
The Club’s competitive program requires volunteers to operate effectively and cost efficiently. These positions typically require a commitment periodically throughout the seasonal year. Some of the volunteer positions that competitive team parents will be expected to fill are listed below.
▪Team Manager.
▪Individual Team volunteers.
▪Practice Field Support staff.
▪Coaching.
5. Volunteer Fee
A deposit of $125 will be collected from each player at the first team meeting. These checks will be held until volunteer commitments are completed. If you should opt out of volunteering or not complete your volunteer requirements. The check will be deposited and redeemed in full by Kickers FC.
*** There will be no refunds once a player has committed to the team. This does include if a player is injured during the season. Team's budgets have been set for the season and will not change even if it has one less player***
