2024 SPRING SOFTBALL




The objective of the Del Riv Youth Sports' softball program is to provide a wholesome and fun filled softball season for the athletes in our community. The goal of this program is to to teach the fundamentals  through to preparing the athletes that choose to do so for play at competitive levels. 

DIVISIONS
Players are placed in their respective divisions based on their age as of January 1st of the year preceding play for the season. There will be four divisions with the number of teams in each division to be determined by registration:



- U6 Coach Pitch: Age  6
- U8 Coach Pitch: Ages 7 & 8
- U10 Fast Pitch: Ages 9 & 10
- U12 Fast Pitch: Ages 11 & 12
- U15 Fast Pitch: Ages 13 & 14.

Coaching Opportunities
We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to help by volunteering to coach a softball team. If interested please complete the online registration program to volunteer/coach. 

Game Cancellations
Games are cancelled for rain, lightning, and/or flooded fields.

DEL RIV YOUTH SPORTS & RIVERDEL REBELS(DYSA) are a volunteer-based organization. We are strong because of the individuals who dedicate their time to helping us to continue to provide youth sports in our community. With your help we can grow stronger. Sign-up to help out in concessions, to keep our bathrooms clean or to coach* one of our teams. Your participation and dedication to the athletes in this community is always appreciated. You can sign-up to volunteer below!

*Each sport will have Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches who are appointed by and will report directly to the Commissioner of their sport and must be approved by the Executive Board. All coaches over the age of 18 must pass a background check with the State of New Jersey pursuant to NJSA 15A:3A-1 etc. Background checks cannot be accepted from any other organization. Volunteers will be reimbursed for the payment of the background check/fingerprinting fee. Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches Ability to enforce the code of conduct in the absence of the sport commissioner. (DYSA Bylaws; Article IV-C
