The USSF Grassroots License is available through an online course at the US Soccer Digital Coaching Center

 Travel Team Coach
  1. Duties
    1. Manage Team Practices
      1. The Travel Team Coach is responsible for the planning and running of practices consistent with HCSA’s Philosophy and Travel Team Curriculum.
    2. Manage Team Games
      1.  The Travel Team Coach is responsible for coaching all games and tournaments.
    3. Manage Team Scheduling
      1. The Travel Team Coach is responsible for coordinating their league schedule
    4. Player Evaluations
      1. The Travel Team Coach is responsible for completing seasonal player evaluations for their players.
  2. Skills and Competencies
    1. USSF D License required
    2. Positive Role Model
    3. Reliable
    4. Ability to manage players and parents
  3. Relationships
    1. Travel Team Coaches report to the club’s Director of Coaching.
  4. Salary $3,000- $5,000 per year ($1,500- $3,000 per season); coaches also receive reimbursement for mileage driven to away games, per diem for meals for away games, and hotel expenses for away tournaments.
Academy Coach
  1. Duties
    1. Assist with Team Practices
      1. The Academy Coach is responsible for the assisting with practices for their assigned players in accordance with the Academy Director's instructions.
    2. Manage Team Games
      1.  The Academy Coach is responsible for coaching all games (some travel games for U10 Academy)
    3. Player Evaluations (U10 Academy Only)
      1. The Academy Coach is responsible for completing seasonal player evaluations for their players.
  2. Skills and Competencies
    1. USSF Grassroots (7v7) License required
    2. Positive Role Model
    3. Reliable
    4. Ability to manage players and parents
  3. Relationships
    1. Academy Coaches report to the respecTechnical Director serving as the respective Academy Director.
  4. Compensation
    1. U8 Academy is paid by the practice/game $15-$20 per; U10 Academy is paid a seasonal salary $750-$1000. U10 coaches also receive travel reimbursement for away festivals (mileage/per diem/hotel).
