BFCA FOOTBALL

The BFCA Bulldogs provides travel football instruction and play for athletes in grades K-8 in a fun, competitive and safe environment. We are entering our 4th season of play.  We have been serving the Riverside/Brookfield community since 2016 and are part of the TCYFL. We welcome boys and girls from first time players to experienced athletes.

Our season runs from late-July through mid-November. Games are played on our home field (Kennelly Athletic Complex at Riverside-Brookfield HS) as well as at other member communities in the TCYFL as scheduled by the league. There are typically 4-5 home games out of a regular 9 week season.

Our season begins with mandatory conditioning in late July. This is a league requirement to ensure athlete preparedness and safety, and participation in other sports does not eliminate this requirement.  This is to allow players to prepare for the rigors of the game of football. Players who are not able to attend all 5 days of conditioning will be required to attend make-up dates before being allowed to participate in contact drills. Players are evaluated during conditioning and contact drills and placed accordingly into their respective teams based on skill level, age and weight. Please see the TCYFL Age/Weight Parameters on this website for more detailed information.

Once the teams have been selected your player will practice with his/her assigned team.  Team practices will begin in late July.  Practices start at 5:30 PM and end at 7:30 PM and are held (5) days a week until school begins and will drop to (3) days a week when school begins.

Equipment and Costs

All players will be issued a helmet, shoulder pads, a practice jersey, practice pants, game pants, rib pads, and a game jersey for their $395 registration fee. Kids will be properly fitted for helmets and shoulder pads (extremely important for player safety). We will email all registered families about the fiting dates.  Parents are required to provide a mouthgard and spikes.
