Coaches Bios

 14U - Head Coach : Abdul Green

 
 



Coach Abdul Green played Pop Warner Football from the age of 5. He played middle linebacker and power tail back through his high school years and first 2 years of college.  During those years Abdul was voted most valuable player for offense and defense. In 2017, Abdul was an assistant coach for the Bayside Broncos Mitey Mites. Abdul enjoys giving back to the league he grew up in.  For the 2019 season, Abdul will be the head coach for the 14U.

  
12U - Head Coach: Bob Nessel
 


Coach Bob has coached with the Bayside Broncos organization for 8 years. He has been a Head Coach with the Tiny Mites, Mitey Mites, and Jr. Pee Wee Teams. Coach Bob also serves on the Bayside Broncos Board as the Vice President.

Coach Bob loves the game of football and strives to teach the players to play the game with the proper techniques that will always protect their safety on the field as well as developing them as players for the future. Coach Bob wants his players to have fun, show great sportsmanship, while always trying to field a competitive team. Coach Bob will be the Head Coach for the Pee Wee team in 2019. 

  
 10U - Head Coach: Al Elzey

 
 

Coach Al lettered in football at McAteer High School in San Francisco. He played college football at the College of San Mateo and then moved on to play at San Francisco State University. 

Citing a desire to coach football, Coach Al joined the coaching staff at Carlmont High School in 2015 coaching the defensive backs. During the past three years coaching at Carlmont, Coach Al has produced a CCS Peninsula Athletic League Honorable Mention Defensive Back in 2016 and two CCS Peninsula Athletic League First Team All-League Defensive Backs in 2017 and 2018. 

Coach Al has been coaching with the Bayside Broncos for two years, both as the Head Coach for the Mitey Mite Team.  He is also the President of the Bayside Broncos Organization.  Coach Al will be the Head Coach for the Junior Pee Wee team in 2019. 

 
10U - Defensive Coordinator: Chris Solano


 
 

Coach Chris played football at San Mateo High School and continued his education and football career by attending and playing at the College of San Mateo where he was on two State Championship teams. Coach Chris also played Semi-Pro football for the San Francisco Renegades. 

Coach Chris has a total of 12 years of coaching a wide variety of sports that include baseball, football and basketball. He has coached for Next Level Flag football and basketball teams and is certified to coach for the San Mateo Little League Baseball Association, the Peninsula Parishes School League for both basketball and baseball. 

In 2018, Coach Chris was the defensive coordinator, running backs and inside linebacker’s coach for the Bayside Broncos Mitey Mites Team.  For the 2019 season Coach Chris will be the Defensive Coordinator for the Jr. Pee Wee Team.  


10U - Assistant Coach: Andy Cuevas


Coach Andy was born and raised in San Mateo and played football at San Mateo High School.  Coach Andy’s coaching experience consists of being an Assistant Coach for 3 years for the Oak Grove Tiny Mites Football Team. He was also the Head Coach of the Redwood City 49ers Tiny Mites team for two seasons. Last season, Andy and his son Auggie made the decision to play for the Bayside Broncos and Coach Andy was an Assistant Coach on the Mitey Mites Team. Coach Andy enjoys giving back to the community by coaching youth sports. Being a former player his goal it to teach kids the same morals and fundamentals he learned playing youth sports.

 
 8U - Head Coach: Bradley Ford


 
 

Coach Bradley Ford was born in Hutchinson, Kansas and was raised in a small town in Northern Montana. Eureka is located on the US and Canada Border and known for their hard-hitting football and hockey teams.  Bradley’s family has a long history in sports, primarily in Football. Bradley is the youngest of the family that produced one NFL Player, an NCAA All American Defensive Lineman of the Year, winner of the 1980 Peach Bowl and a state honored collegiate football and basketball referee.

Bradley holds one Montana State Championship in eight-man football and one State Championship in eleven-man football. While winning Montana State Defensive Lineman of the Year in 1989 and 1990, Bradley has studied the art of safe hitting for many years. This is Coach Bradley’s first year coaching for the Bayside Broncos and will be coaching the 8U team.
