Code of Conduct

Bayside Broncos Youth Football & Cheer Pop Warner

Parent
& Player

Code of Conduct

This is the Parent and Player Code of Conduct which we require all parents to sign in order for their children to participate in our football or cheer programs. It is a great tool to communicate expectations of what type of parent support and behavior is acceptable and appropriate to support the children participating in our programs. Parents should read, understand and sign this form prior to their children participating in our league.

The Bayside Broncos program has a history of being the best in providing a positive sportsmanship environment for our players. As a Bayside Bronco we require our parents and players to:

  1. Encourage members of both teams.

  2. Keep all comments positive.

  3. Only players, coaches, board members and game day parent volunteers are allowed on the field.

  4. Leave coaching to the Coaches. If you have suggestions, please ask to speak directly to the Head Coach after

the game. If you would like to coach next year’s team, please volunteer so you can attend the mandatory

coaching clinics, pass the background check, and study and pass the required coaches written tests.

  5. Not engage in any unsportsmanlike conduct such as: criticizing, booing and refusing to shake hands. Abusive language, cursing or yelling at the officials, coaches, players (of both teams), opponents or fans will not be

tolerated. This is youth sports, everyone makes mistakes.

  6. Be a positive role model and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy and by demonstrating

positive support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game, practice or sporting event.

  7. Understand that parents are responsible for all family members and guests attending the games to watch my

    child.

  8. No alcoholic beverages or drugs are allowed at any Pop Warner Event.

  9. Help us make this a positive experience for all remembering that children participate to have fun and grow

and that the game is for the youth, not adults.

Any parent or guest guilty of not adhering to these requirements will be addressed as follows:

  1. At ANY Pop Warner (PW) event, practice or competition, any adult who verbally abuses, attempts to intimidate, is flagrantly rude, or cannot control their language or action with an official, coach, or board member will be asked to immediately leave the Pop Warner event. His/her child(ren) may be immediately removed from the Pop Warner event. He or she will receive a written warning regarding their behavior and be suspended from the next weeks practice and game.

  2. Any adult that commits a second offense will be banned for PW events for the remainder of the season and their child(ren) may be removed from PW for the remainder of the season.

  3. Any adult who physically assaults an official, coach or PW board member will be banned from PW and their child will be removed from the Pop Warner program for one (1) year from the date of the offense. After one (1) year, the parent may apply for re-instatement of his or her child. If the adult commits a second, similar offense, he or she will be banned from Pop Warner and the child(ren) may be permanently removed from Pop Warner.

  4. Any adult engaging in any action which reflects negatively on, or causes embarrassment to, the PPW program is subject to disciplinary actions of the association and/or conference.

This form must be signed as a condition of your child’s participation at the time of registration.
