2026 Fall Cheer Registration
Del Mar Coastal Pop Warner wants to guide the youth participants in our program to develop a love for Cheerleading and Dance, to become confident, disciplined and responsible well-rounded athletes and scholars in the classroom, on the field and in the community.
Del Mar Coastal Pop Warner offers Cheerleading & Dance for ages 7 through 14 years old.
What you need to register:
- To verify age, A COPY of a valid Birth Certificate is required to be provided to Del Mar Coastal Pop Warner, passports are acceptable.
- Recent photo of the participant, photo should be straight on, no hats, sunglasses and a white/light solid background (JPEG preferred)
- Medical History- Date of last tetanus shot
- Proof of satisfactory progress in school is required for player eligibility, A 70% and/or 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or the equivalent shall be the minimum grade point average acceptable to participate in the program. The previous seasons report card is required to be turned in before June 15th for final roster eligibility. A player will not be rostered to a team or begin practice until their report card is received and verified.
Volunteering is a requirement per family in order to facilitate the organization, including but not limited to games, competitions and events, each family is required to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours a season.
NOTES:
- A child’s age on July 15th, 2026 is his/her age for the season is the division your child will be eligible to play in.
CHEER SQUAD SIZE:
- The MINIMUM cheerleaders per squad is 5 to form a team.
- The MAXIMUM players per team is 36 players.
- Should a division/squad have less than 5 cheerleaders registered the division/squad will not be eligible for camps, games or competitions until the minimum number is met.
- Should a division have more than 36 players registered a WAITLIST will be created, and waitlisted cheerleaders will not be rostered for a squad until the MINIMUM players per squad is met.
- PLEASE NOTE: IT IS NOT GUARANTEED THAT ALL AGE DIVISIONS WILL BE FORMED.
INCLUDED WITH CHEER REGISTRATION:
- Practice shirt/shorts
- Game day uniform (LS liner, top, skorts, socks)
- Game day and Competition Bows
- Pom Poms
- Backpack
SEASON DATES:
- Practice Begins as early as JULY 15, 2026 for conditioning camp, this is mandatory- practice will be 5 days a week for 2 weeks and 2.5 hours a day. This is mandated by National Pop Warner to ensure players are eased into the physical requirements expected by the sport. Players will begin with conditioning and then slowly progress to thud tackle with shoulder pads and helmets and then full tackle/contact. Players are required to achieve 20 hours, following the proper protocol to be certified to play this season, hours cannot be made up outside of team practices and must be completed before the West Coast Conference Mandatory Certification Day.
