The East Georgia Pop Warner Football Program is a regional chapter of the nationally recognized Pop Warner Little Scholars organization, dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young athletes in eastern Georgia. Serving children aged 5 to 12, this program provides opportunities to learn and play football in a structured, safe, and supportive environment. The East Georgia chapter emphasizes the core values of the Pop Warner organization, focusing on teamwork, discipline, and respect both on and off the field. By implementing age and weight-based divisions, the program ensures fair competition and prioritizes player safety, creating an inclusive space where athletes of all sizes and skill levels can thrive.

What sets the East Georgia Pop Warner Football Program apart is its strong commitment to balancing academics with athletics. Participants are required to meet academic standards to be eligible for play, reinforcing the importance of education and encouraging young athletes to excel in the classroom. Through regular practice, mentorship from dedicated coaches, and participation in competitive games and tournaments, players develop not only athletic skills but also leadership, confidence, and a strong work ethic. Additionally, the program offers opportunities for players to compete in regional and national Pop Warner championships, showcasing their talents on a larger stage and building a sense of pride within the East Georgia community.

East Georgia Pop Warner football is designed to promote age-appropriate skill development and understanding of the game at each level of play.  Within East Georgia Pop Warner we offer the following Tackle Football Playing Levels:

• 6U, the focus is on introducing the fundamentals of football in a fun and engaging way, emphasizing basic skills like running, catching, and handoffs, as well as teamwork and sportsmanship. 

• 8U, builds on these basics by teaching more structured play, including simple offensive and defensive strategies, while reinforcing proper techniques such as safe tackling and blocking. 

• 10U, players begin to develop a deeper understanding of the game’s rules and strategies, incorporating more complex plays and positions, with an emphasis on improving agility, communication, and leadership on the field. 

• 12U, athletes are prepared for more competitive play, learning advanced concepts like reading defenses, executing coordinated team strategies, and enhancing their physical conditioning, all while continuing to prioritize safety and teamwork as key pillars of the program.
