Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Girls Little League Softball of Wallingford (GLLSOW)! We are excited to welcome new friends, teammates, and families. We hope this newsletter helps you learn more about our league and all it has to offer!
What Do We Offer?
Girls Little League Softball of Wallingford is the only Little League Softball program in town. Our structured age groups provide a progression from a fun, coach-pitch experience to fast-pitch gameplay, preparing players for middle and high school teams. Divisions:
T-Ball
Starting at age 4 (age cutoff of Jan. 1)
This division offers games, practices, and clinics run by USA Elite Training, meeting twice a week. Players will learn fundamental skills such as throwing, fielding, hitting off a tee, baserunning, and teamwork.
AA Division
Ages 6- 8
This division features games, practices, and clinics run by USA Elite Training. They meet twice a week to either play or practice. This level introduces live pitching, with coaches pitching to their teams, continuing to develop essential skills in a supportive environment.
AAA Division
Ages 8 - 10
Players in AAA refine their skills learned in earlier levels while developing advanced techniques needed for competitive play. This level introduces base stealing and includes eligibility for the All-Star team, representing Wallingford in the Little League State Softball 10U tournament.
Majors Division
Ages 10 - 12
Majors is a competitive level designed to prepare players for middle and high school softball. Participants are eligible for All-Star selection, competing in the Little League State Softball 12U tournament.
Juniors Division
Ages 13 - 16
The Juniors division offers a competitive experience to help players transition to higher levels of play. Like other levels, this group is eligible for All-Star selection and can represent Wallingford in the Little League State Softball Juniors tournament.
