The Pinto League is a coach pitch program for seven and eight year olds. In certain special cases six year old players are able to play up. In this league, players begin playing baseball as most know it. The concept of three outs per inning is introduced at this level. Each inning is limited to a five run rule, which is instituted to control the tempo of the game. In the first half of the season, batters are given four swings and if needed are then allowed to hit off a tee. As the season progresses, base running rules and batting rules may become more advanced. Every player is allowed to bat.Once a player is placed on a team, they remain with that team until they move up to the Mustang League. For example, a seven year old placed onto the Pinto River Dogs will remain on the River Dogs until he moves up to the Mustang Division. Players stay with their team to give them, their team and families a sense of consistency. We also have an All Star game where teams are formed by the top players from each team.
