All Star Tryouts & Information

Our season is well underway and it's time to start thinking about All Stars! Willow Creek LL will be fielding All Star teams for the following - 8/10 All Stars, 9/11 All Stars, and 10/12 Majors.  Tryouts will be Wednesday, May 29th. More information about location and time will be out shortly.

Please read through ALL of the following information before signing up for All Stars.

ATTENDANCE
WCLL post-season teams prepare for, and play in competitive District 4 tournaments. Teams will practice 4-6 days per week.  Any schedule conflicts need to be cleared with the manager prior to selection on the team, but you should plan on not missing more than 2 practices prior to your tournament.  The manager of each team, subject to WCLL board approval, has the right to remove a player from the team for lack of attendance.

TOURNAMENT RULES
Please note that tournament rules differ from the regular season rules. Minimum playing time consists of 6 consecutive defensive outs and 1 at bat. Post-season teams do not bat the roster. A nine-player batting order is used with the National Little League substitution rules in place.Playing time is not equal and your child may not play the same position(s) she played during the regular season. Please discuss these possibilities with your child before you decide to submit her name for consideration to ensure that you and your child do not experience disappointment over playing time and/or position.There are personal travel an expense costs associated with All Star teams should they make it to the State Tournament(s). Expenses include lodging, food, etc.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS
The tournament format is typically pool play, with the top teams from each pool moving into single elimination play.

IMPORTANT
Teams will be selected from a combination of tryout scores and feedback from the spring season coach. All players chosen for a post-season team must provide a valid ORIGINAL birth certificate to the league for team registration. Players without an ORIGINAL birth certificate cannot be considered for a post-season team. The birth certificate must originate from the Department of Vital Statistics from the birth state. Photocopies or certificates issues by a hospital are not acceptable. Players will also be required to certify residency within the WCLL boundary. Parents of all children participating in one of the post season teams are required by Little League Baseball and Softball, Inc. to provide three documents as proof of residency within the actual boundaries of Willow Creek Little League.

PAYMENT
A fee of $100.00 will be assessed if your player makes an All Star team. There is no fee to tryout.

TO REGISTER
Click Registration from the WCLL Homepage. You will be asked to register for 8/10, 9/11 or 10/12 Majors. Some players based on age and ability could qualify for more than one team. Please register for the team you would most like to be considered for. Players would be assigned to the appropriate team after tryouts.
