Long Beach Little League (LBLL) Scorekeeping Guide
Scorekeeping is an essential part of ensuring a well-run and fair game experience for players, coaches, and fans. Starting in the 2025 Spring Season, Long Beach Little League (LBLL) will be using the Game Changer App (GC) as the official book for all games. This means that all scorekeepers will be required to use GC to track game progress and final score. The official pitch count will continue to be recorded using paper pitch count logs, until otherwise noted.
Why Is Scorekeeping Important To Our League?
- Scorekeeping ensures accurate game records and allows teams to review their performance.
- Pitch count tracking is critical for player safety, ensuring compliance with Little League pitch limit rules.
- Properly recorded stats help with All-Star selections and end-of-season awards.
- Scorekeeping supports the league’s integrity by ensuring accurate standings and rule enforcement.
New for the 2025 Season: Game Changer App (GC) as the Official Book
- The home team’s scorekeeper will use Game Changer as the official scorebook for all games.
- Any score discrepancies must be resolved before the first pitch of the next half-inning.
- The official scorekeeper must maintain an accurate record of attendance and player participation in GC.
- Managers at Farm level or higher must report game scores immediately after the game.
- Scores should be posted to the LBLL website and reported to the Division VP and League Information Officer.
- Managers may assign a delegate to handle score reporting duties.

How to Keep an Official Pitch Count Log
Pitch count tracking is required for all games except T-Ball and Farm Divisions.
- The official scorekeeper must record the pitch count for each pitcher in GC AND maintain a written Official Pitch Count Log.
- If there is a discrepancy between the written pitch count log and GC, it must be resolved before the start of the next inning.
- Pitch count logs must be submitted to the league’s designated official after each game.
