We're looking forward to another fun and successful season for MAA Girls Basketball!  There are four age groups as follows:

Minors - ages 9-10 (birth year 2011-12)
Intermediate - ages 11-12 (birth year 2009-10)
Juniors - ages 13-14 (birth year 2007-08)
Seniors - ages 15-18 (birth year 2003-2006)

There is also an Instructional League for girls age 7-8 (birth year 2013-14), runs for eight weeks, and typically is held on Saturday mornings beginning the first weekend in January from 9:00-11:00 at J. B. Watkins (generally will be instructional in nature with skill building drills the first 4-6 weeks, then games the final weeks.) The instructor is awesome!

To figure out the correct division, use your child's age as of December 31, 2021.  Please note - the only scenario allowed in the league for "playing up" a division is for the Intermediate age (12 year-olds) to play up as a Junior (this move is subject to an assessment in person by the Chesterfield Girls Basketball League president.)

Registration for the 2021-22 season must be initiated online (click the Register link at the top of the page).  Registration will open on October 5th 2021.  The registration fee is $150 for ages 9-18.  Depending on number of coaches and efforts to keep roster sizes no larger than 10 girls (in order to maximize playing time), there may be situations where we have to find other associations for those registering later during the open period.

If you have not previously established an electronic account with MAA, you will be asked to register your email address.  After you have received your password, please complete your family's MAA profile. 

For those of you who already have an electronic account with MAA, please update any changes to your email address or phone numbers.
Midlothian will also be able to accept players from the following school districts for the 2021-22 season: Old Hundred, Beulah, Bensley, Chalkley, Crestwood, Enon, Ettrick, Falling Creek, Providence, Scott, Harrowgate, Ecoff, Curtis, Bellwood, Winterpock and Reams.  We can also accept players from other Chesterfield County schools that don't have athletic associations.

Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation Code of Conduct 

These will need to be turned in during our open gym dates or at the first practice.  You will receive an email updating you as to the time and location of the open gyms if we have any. 

Players who have not played in the Chesterfield Girls Basketball League in prior seasons will also need to provide a copy of their birth certificate during practice nights.  These copies will be destroyed by the league once they are verified.
