About
Youth Basketball (YBL) season starts during the month of January and runs through February. Registration occurs during the months of October - December. Kids in first grade through 6th grade are eligible to play (kindergarteners are not). Youth Basketball is available in Burney, Fall River, and Big Valley.
Divisions (Burney, Fall River, & Big Valley)
- 1st - 2nd Grades (co-ed only)
- 3rd - 4th Grades (boys and girl's teams)
- 5th - 6th Grades (boys and girl's teams)
NOTE: Please DO NOT register your child in the 1st-2nd grade division if he or she is currently enrolled in kindergarten. They will be eligible when they are in 1st grade. :)
Registration Dates:
- October 19th, 2025 - November 30th, 2025
Registration Fees:- $35/child. $10 discount upon checkout if re-using jersey from last year.
- Oct. 19th - Nov. 9th $35
Nov. 10th - Nov. 30th $45 (late registration)
After Nov. 30th $55 (registration contingent upon availability of jersey)
Skills Evaluation
Fall River YBL (1st-2nd grade):
- Date: Wednesday, December 17th, 6:00pm-7:00pm.
- Location: Fall River Elementary School cafeteria
Fall River YBL (3rd-6th grade):
- Date: Wednesday, November 19th, 6:30-7:30pm.
- Schedule:
6:30-7:00pm - Boys 3rd-6th
7:00-7:30pm - Girls 3rd-6th - Location: Fall River High School gymnasium
- NOTE: Skills evaluation is mandatory for Fall River players (grades 3rd-6th only). It is optional for Big Valley players.
Burney YBL:
- Date: Tuesday, November 18th, 5:30-6:30pm
- Schedule:
5:30-6:00pm - Boys 3rd-6th
6:00-6:30pm - Girls 3rd-6th - Location:Burney Elementary Cafeteria
- NOTE: Skills evaluation is mandatory for Burney players (grades 3rd-6th only).
Practices & Games- Practices and games will begin January 5th. You will be contacted by your child's coach once practices are to begin.
AAU Card Requirement
Please note that an AAU card is REQUIRED for all players and coaches who participate in IMYS youth basketball. An AAU card MUST be purchased ($22) for your child on or after September 1st, 2025 (for the 2025/2026 season) - before your child can begin practicing. AAU cards are valid for IMYS soccer, golf, basketball and wrestling during the 2025-2026 season. Proof of an AAU card will be required before a player or coach can participate in practices and games.
