Q: WHEN are the practices and games?

A: Practices
All teams are allotted 2 practices sessions per week and are typically scheduled Monday - Friday evenings, with Saturday mornings and evenings as an option. Practice schedules will be communicated by the coaches once the teams are drafted and set. (*It is up to Team Managers discretion for any practice changes, and may choose to add or take out practices based on the needs of the team)

A: Games
Each team will play up to 2 games per week and are typically scheduled Monday - Friday nights with Saturdays being used as overflow or make-up games (*The Junior Division is scheduled fully at the D2 level and they will release the practice and game schedules after registration closes.)

Q: WHERE are the practices and games played?

A: RVLL currently uses 2 main fields for our practices and games (Other fields MAY be utilized based on seasonal needs)

Q: What is a Player Evaluation/Tryout?

A: Player Evaluations are held for the Minor & Major Divisions and is literally just that. In the past this has been called a Try-out, but every child who is registered with RVLL is guaranteed a spot on a team, so the purpose of the Player Evaluation is for the coaching staff to get a feel for the skill & confidence level of each player and will use the evaluation notes when drafting their teams. This helps to more evenly distribute the players with varying levels of experience across the teams.

Q: My child is 10, should I register them for the Minor Division or the Major Division?

A: We recommend that you register them in the Minor Division to begin with. All of the 10 year olds will participate in the same Player-Evaluation, and the Player Agent will be able to assess and make a recommendation at that time on which Division he feels that your player best fits. A final decision will be made between the Player Agent and Parent/Guardian.
