On their website, Little League describes umpires as "the third team on the field at every Little League game."

When you officiate as an umpire, you promote growth not only in our players, but in yourself! Your own knowledge and appreciation grows with each season you don your blues (and pinks!).

Here at Rio Vista Little League, our volunteer umpires have given our community much to be proud of. In recent seasons, our umps have generously and effectively officiated on our fields, and on the fields of neighboring leagues. We strive to continue in this spirit, and invite you to train with us as an umpire!
