Q: How do I register for spring competitive traveling soccer?
A: All competitive teams will register on this site
Q: How does MSA Competitive soccer differ from YSL?
A: The YSL is comprised of introduction of the sport of soccer to players with players getting simple touches on the ball and beginning intro to the game. The MSA competitive provides a higher intensity practice with detailed drills to improve foot skills and a higher knowledge of the game.
Q: When are practices?
A: Teams will have a minimum two practices per week. Practices are truly determined by the Coaching Staff and Parents of each team.
Q: How do we find out when practices start and what time/day practices will be?
A: Each season the MSA Coaches and Team Managers provide a Team Parent Meeting for their own team. This meeting will involve discussion in regards to the Coach's season goal for the team, tournament schedule, parent's questions, season practice schedule and Team Manager discussion.
Q: When will Parents know when the Parent Meeting is?
A: Once registration is complete, a roster will be provided to the coach and team manager at the season start coach's meeting. Once the team manager has the roster, they will contact the team and provide the Parent Meeting date, time and location. Thus the season begins!
Q: Does my player have to attend every tournament?
A: No player in the MSA is expected to participate in every tournament. The MSA only requires each player to attend a minimum of 1 tournament per season.
Q: Tournaments
A: The Association will only reimburse the appropriate coaching expenses for up to three (3) tournaments per season. Any additional tournament coaching expenses beyond the three tournament will be the responsibility of each individual team. Payment of coaches is not optional; all coaches must be paid if they submit the appropriate paperwork.
