Important Information:
Each concessions volunteer session qualifies as one service period (2 family members in the same session equals two service periods). For each service period completed, one volunteer check (provided in advance as collateral) will be returned to you. There may be times that the concession stand may not open as originally scheduled (primarily due to weather-related game cancellations). If this occurs, you will be notified via email through the sign-up site (Signup Genius). In this situation, volunteers will need to select an alternate date to earn credit for that service period(s).
Please act quickly to select the dates and times that work best for your schedule, and only sign up for a session(s) that you know you can attend. The concession stand can only be opened if two or more people volunteer on a given date and time. If your plans change for any reason, please return to Signup Genius and adjust (delete) your sign-up as soon as possible so that someone else can volunteer for that session and the concessions coordinators can make any necessary adjustments. Also, please note that children under the age of 16 are not permitted in the concession stand for safety reasons.
EPYAL Baseball Youth Night- May 1
EPYAL Baseball will be hosting a Youth Night at the East Pennsboro High School on Wednesday, May 1. Please consider bringing your player(s) to this event! Here are the details:
3:45pm- Players arrive at East Pennsboro Middle School. Parking is in the rear, and players will gather at the path that leads down to the high school. Players will then walk down to the high school baseball field and on to the field.
4:15pm- East Pennsboro v. Steelton-Highspire. Players are encouraged to stay and watch the game together.
6:30pm (or whenever the game ends)- Players can run the bases!
Harrisburg Senators Game- May 17
The Harrisburg Senators have invited our league back this year to participate in a celebration of local Little League teams! The game is on Friday, May 17 at 7pm vs. the Erie Seawolves. Before the game, players will have the opportunity to "parade" onto the field, and there will be a fireworks show after the game! Tickets are $13/each and must be purchased by May 17 at 5:00pm. Player(s) should wear team jerseys to the game and arrive no later than 6:00pm if they want to participate in the pre-game parade. EPHS Baseball Youth Summer Camp- June 17 to June 20
The East Pennsboro High School is hosting a youth summer camp again this year for players ages 6-12 (dates of birth September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2018). Camp will run from June 17 to June 20 from 9:00am-12:00pm (with June 21 as a rain date). It will be held at Adams Ricci Park, and the cost is $50. This includes a camp shirt. Registration will be open April 26-May 24. More information to follow.
