CYFFA OFFICIATING PROGRAM
If you have a passion for the game of flag football and want to be involved in inspiring young athletes, applying to the officiating program in our CYFFA league is an excellent choice!
Our officiating team is managed by experienced CYFFA board members who spend countless volunteer hours providing training and support. Referees are trained on CYFFA specific rules, game management techniques and the mechanics needed to operate and communicate on the field.
To facilitate 125+ flag football games over our 10-week season, we need reliable officials. The position is perfect for student athletes whose schedules allow for Saturday game day assignments. CYFFA alumni are highly encouraged to apply and bring their knowledge of the CYFFA rules with them! Our referees are expected to be knowledgeable of flag football as played in CYFFA (we will train on the rules) and they have to be good communicators and reliable/committed to being available and on time for their assignments. Game assignments are earned - knowledge of the rules, hustle, confidence, and communications skills are key criteria. Our goal is to put balanced, knowledgeable, hard-working crews on all games.
