The Rookie division is designed for players 6-8 years old. In this division coaches will reinforce fundamental skills while introducing the basic rules of softball. Players will learn basic skills involved in hitting, throwing and catching. League Age 9 may be considered with no prior experience. Rookie Softball is played on a 50' diamond, where a coach will pitch an 11" ball to players in front of them.

Rookie Little League Softball is where the magic of softball begins for our youngest players, typically aged 6 to 8. In this division, we introduce budding athletes to the fundamental aspects of the game with an emphasis on fun and participation. The focus is on creating a supportive and nurturing environment where our little ones can develop basic skills, teamwork, and a love for the sport.

In Rookie Little League Softball, the game is simplified and tailored to their needs,  using a coach to pitch a ball for hitting to ensure early success. It's a place where kids take their first swings, make their first catches, and form their first friendships on the field. Our aim is to instill a sense of joy and curiosity about the game, setting the stage for a lifelong appreciation for softball. Rookie Little League Softball is where dreams begin, and every player takes their first steps toward becoming a softball star.
