NCLL Code of Conduct
New Castle Little League Code of Conduct
The goal of New Castle Little League is to provide a safe, fun, and fair environment for families in New Castle, Delaware to participate in the excitement of Little League Baseball and Softball. Our league is operated and managed entirely by volunteers.
The NCLL Board of Directors has mandated the following Code of Conduct. All parents, legal guardians, volunteers, and players are expected to read and follow these guidelines. By participating in league activities, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to comply with the NCLL Code of Conduct.
- No board member, manager, coach, parent, player, legal guardian, or spectator shall lay a hand upon, push, shove, strike, or threaten an official.
- No one shall heap personal, verbal, or physical abuse upon any official for any perceived incorrect decision.
- No one shall demonstrate dissent through throwing equipment (gloves, helmets, bats, hats, balls, etc.).
- No one shall use unnecessarily rough tactics against another player.
- No one shall physically attack any board member, official, manager, coach, player, or spectator.
- No one shall use profane, obscene, or vulgar language at any time.
- No one shall appear on the complex while intoxicated. Alcohol consumption during games, practices, or events is strictly prohibited.
- No one shall gamble on any play or outcome of any game.
- No one shall smoke in the stands, playing field, or dugout. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas away from others.
- No one shall speak disrespectfully to any manager, coach, official, or league representative.
- No one shall tamper with league schedules, rosters, drafts, scorebooks, rankings, or financial records.
- No one shall challenge an umpire’s authority. Umpires may penalize offenders up to and including ejection.
- No one shall misuse or abuse league equipment, including player gear and field maintenance tools.
- Any violation of the above—or behavior deemed inappropriate by league officials—may result in disciplinary action.
Please remember: Our league is built on respect, sportsmanship, and community. Your conduct sets an example for our players and helps ensure a positive environment for everyone.
