SDLL Coaching Development Clinics (Baseball)

We have extensive plans for coach and player development. SDLL is excited to host league based coaching clinics to prepare for the Spring 2024 season. There will be a combination of coach only, player development sessions, and family clinics offered in this series. Coaching clinics will discuss multiple areas of player development including: Team-based warm ups, Pitching, Catcher Development, Fielding, Hitting, Situational Baseball, Practice Planning, and a list of free coaching resources.

Coaching Clinics will be held at Parkwood Ballfield:
Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

If you are interested in being a coach, we will need your help to run effective player clinics in January at Parkwood Ballfield. This is also an opportunity to incorporate techniques learned in the coaching sessions, while picking up new drills and strategies. We will run our "classic model" clinics on Mondays and Fridays, January 8th - February 2nd (the day before evaluations).

Our "family model" clinics will be hosted on Wednesdays, January 10th, 17th, and 24th from 6:30-8pm. Parents without coaching experience can come WITH their kids and learn how to coach them. The hope is that those parents would then have the skills to take on a more active volunteer role in the spring season.

Registration can be found here.

SDLL Family Clinic Series (Baseball)

SDLL is excited to offer our first series of family clinics, designed to empower parents with the tools needed to develop their child’s baseball skills at home. Sessions will aim to teach parents the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, fielding, catching, and base running, while giving their child the opportunity to grow their skills in a station-based environment. Sessions will involve parent instruction by senior coaches, child instruction (led by coaches and parents), and whole group (parent/child) activities. Each session will build on the next, so a commitment to all three dates is desired

Family Clinics will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Parkwood Ballfield:
Wednesday, January 10, 2024
Wednesday, January 17, 2024
Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Registration can be found here.

*Note that there is a limit of 25 families who can attend each session so only select those sessions you know you can attend. Signing up for a session does NOT guarantee confirmation. A confirmation email will be sent from coaching staff once registration ends on January 5th, 2024.
