South Durham Little League

Our league is looking to recruit field captains for the fall 2023 season. Field captains are critical roles for making sure our kids are able to play on well-maintained fields and doesn’t require a ton of commitment! Please read the role responsibilities and details below and let us know if we can count on you to be a part of this group.

Volunteer Field Captain | Role Description

The field captain position is a single season role, and is part of the Field and Facilities team of SDLL, which is led by the Facilities Coordinator. This position visits a designated field 1-2 times per month to complete the task list below. We are working to recruit 2 field captains at each location so that it is a once/month commitment from each volunteer. These volunteers work as a team to schedule field checks.
