The 2023 Spring South Durham Little League end of season tournaments will begin immediately following the conclusion of the regular season (weekend of May 19). Baseball divisions will participate in either a double or single elimination tournament. Links to divisional brackets, schedules, and seeding for the tournaments at each baseball level (Majors through Rookie) will be posted in May. Please note that Tee Ball does not have a tournament.
Seeding
Seeding and game assignments will not be made final until the last regular season game in each division is played. Seeding is based on the results of the regular season standings. During tournament play, the better seed will always be the home team in the winner's bracket. In the loser's bracket, the home team will be decided by coin flip prior to the start of the game. Home teams will choose the dugout they wish to utilize for each game. The home team scorebook is the official record of the game.
Mayor’s Cup
Tournament champions in each division (except for Rookie) will play in the Mayor’s Cup versus the Bull City Little League divisional champion. Games are tentatively scheduled for the week of June 5-10 (Majors, AAA, AA & A).
Trophies
Trophies will be awarded to each individual player on each of the championship teams a few weeks after the tournament concludes.
Rules
