Coach Dave Scagnelli is truly the heart and soul of our program. He dedicates endless hours to the development of our players and the furtherance of our program. He is involved in and an integral part of almost every facet of our organization. Not only does he oversee the coaching of all of our teams and programs, he also personally coaches our 8U and tournament teams. Additionally, he serves as tournament director for the numerous home tournaments that we host. His dedication to our players and our program is invaluable and certainly a large part of our continued success.
Coach Scagnelli played Varsity football, basketball and baseball for Tuckahoe High School. He received All State Honors in baseball and was awarded a scholarship to play at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry. He graduated and received a Masters in Education from Iona College. He has been a physical education teacher for 32 years, currently teaching at Scarsdale High School. Dave has 32 years of experience coaching softball at the high school level, as well as serving as the Softball Director at Future Stars at SUNY Purchase for 9 years.
Joe DiMaio
Joe DiMaio was a teacher for 10 years teaching both history and physical education. He transitioned to administration in 2005 and is currently the Assistant Principal at Eastchester High School. Joe has a plethora of coaching experience at multiple levels. He has coached football, basketball, baseball, soccer and softball. Joe has coached at Bloomsburg University (football), Tuckahoe High School (football, basketball, baseball and softball), Scarsdale High School (football and baseball), Lehman High School (football) and continues with us as a Coach for 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U tournament teams.
Meghan Vlad
Meghan grew up and played softball in Croton as a utility player, she primarily spent her time on the pitching mound throughout her travel, varsity and college softball career. After graduating Coastal Carolina University, Meghan returned to New York where she began teaching physical education and health. Meghan has coached Tuckahoe Modified softball and is the Varsity cheerleading coach at Briarcliff High School. Meghan joined us last spring as a 12U Travel team coach.
Kate Huggard
Kate is currently an Eastchester Middle School 6th grade teacher. Kate ran Division 1 Cross Country at Manhattan College for four years and has coached both volleyball and softball youth clinics in Pawling. Kate joins us in Spring 2024 as our 8U Travel team head coach.
Ella Hayes
This is Ella's second year assistant-coaching with Scarsdale Travel Softball. She has worked with our 8U Team, 10U and 12U Travel Teams, and all of our Winter Clinic age-groups. Ella has played softball for over 10 years.
Jordan Kefer
Jordan is a current player on the varsity softball team at Scarsdale High School. She has played softball for the past ten years in Scarsdale, and has worked with our 8U clinic and teams during the last two years.
