Baseball Programs

Please note that Burns Little League plays inter-league ball and regularly travels to and hosts Charlotte, White Bluff, and South Cheatham Little Leagues during the regular season.  Each league also hosts post season tournaments.

Burns takes pride in teaching the sport of baseball while strengthening the self-esteem of its participants, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.

3/4 Coed T-Ball: 

  • An early introduction to the game
  • Players learn teamwork and sportsmanship while learning the flow of the game in a fun and age appropriate way
  • Teams are made up of less players keeping them in the action and engaged


5/6 T-ball Baseball:

  • Players ages 5 and 6 will learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding
  • Players get 5 pitches or 2 swings after 2nd swing, choice of another pitch or 2 tries off the tee.
  • Our primary goals with this division are to teach players the fundamentals of baseball and allow them to experience the value of teamwork.
  • A player who is league age 6 for the current season and has played a year of 5/6 baseball may play up in our 7/8 division.


7/8 Baseball:

  • Coach pitch baseball for players ages 7/8
  • In this division, coaches focus on throwing, fielding, hitting fundamentals, and mechanics
  • During games, coaches pitch up to 5-balls to every batter until a hit, 5-pitches, or out is recorded

 

9/10 Baseball:

  • For players ages 9 and 10.
  • Player pitch baseball
  • This division continues to be an instructional league and expands on pitching/catching fundamentals.
  • Although this division operates with increased competitiveness, there is still a focus on personal development and encouragement.

 

Little League Baseball: (ages 11/12)

  • For players ages 11/12
  • Player pitch baseball
  • Coaches continue to focus on throwing, fielding, hitting & pitching fundamentals and mechanics.
  • Burns takes pride in teaching the sport of baseball while strengthening the self-esteem of its participants, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
