STORM has a respected and competitive travel program for boys and girls, grades 4 - 8. Tryouts are held mid to late
August (beginning 2020), with practices beginning September/October and playing through March. Approximately 20 league games and 4 - 5 tournaments are played throughout the season. While most of the travel is local and, generally, within an hour driving time, some tournaments are away and these are played at the team's discretion.

• The program is open to children who live in or attend schools within the boundaries of St. Charles School District 303.

• Boys program has two teams (A and B) at each grade level with schedules appropriate to level.

• Girls program has at least one team at each grade level with a potential of a second team, if enough players attend tryouts, with schedules appropriate for each level.

• Practices are generally twice per week at the elementary or middle schools, depending on gym availability, or at various locations in St. Charles. 

• Grades 7 and 8 play a reduced schedule during their middle school seasons; one weekly practice.

• Players are chosen by tryouts in August (beginning 2020). Each team has 10 players.

• Teams are parent coached, with coaches chosen by the director of the travel program. Background checks are required for all coaches.

• Level of play is competitive and a commitment to basketball and the team is expected at this level.

• Teams will be posted by tryout number on our website within one week after the conclusion of all tryouts in August.
