NSSA 4-DAY CLINICS: SUMMER PROGRAM

GENERAL NSSA 4-DAY CLINIC INFORMATION

• Location: Most 4-DAY CLINICS are held at Nipmuc High School or Miscoe Hill Middle School

  • Nipmuc 90 Pleasant St, Upton, MA 01568. 

  • Miscoe  148 North Ave, Mendon

• Clinic hours”

  • 9-2 pm, instructional clinic hours, preferred pick-up and drop-off times.

  • NSSA offers Free 1hr early drop-off and 1 hr late pick-up is available (8am-3pm)

• All kids must be picked up no later than 3pm. 

  • Do not drop off your child any earlier than 8 am - Please pick up the child before 3 pm.

    1. NSSA-certified staff members will always be present with your child regardless of the time you drop off / pick up.uuúhygv  u

• Registration & payment optionsmouuiiim

  • Register online and pay online via a CC card

  • Register online and select the pay by check payment method, pay on opening day by cash or check.

    1. You must choose this method if you are looking to do pro-rates, ½-day rates, discounts, or free admission, as N.S.S.A. 's registration cannot accommodate custom orders.

  • Register on-site via paper, drop in, and pay via cash or check.

• Cost:: $165 per week. 

  • We offer a day Rates: $45 - ½ day rate: $25 (9am-1130am)

  • Full refunds are available any time prior to the end of the 1st day. 

  • Refunds are not available after Monday @ 2 pm.

  • Drop in any time. Same-day registration is available.

• Opening Day Registration

  • Opening day registration will take place indoors in the Nipmuc Gym or the Miscoe Lower Gym.

  •  NSSA will notify all registered participants of the location of the registration the week prior.

  • Parking in the lot across from the front field.

  • Doors open @ 8:00 am on opening day confirm your registration

    1. If you registered online and have received an email response from me then you are all set in terms of paperwork and required information. Payment is all that is needed.

    2. Please confirm drop off / pick up time for the week and place a pizza lunch order for the day(optional)

  • Registration remains open up until the day of and throughout the week. If you have friends who are interested in registering, even if it is for a day or two; please encourage them to register and join us. Thanks for your support in this regard.

• Payment Processing:

  • All checks should be made out to Next Step Sports Academy or N.S.S.A.

  • All checks are processed by Thursday.

• Grouping

  • Participants will primarily be grouped by grade, or as close together by age as possible.

  • Younger groups will be smaller than older groups.

  • We will do our best to ensure that participants are active, challenged, comfortable, learning, and most importantly, having fun.

    1. Athletically advanced students may be asked to move up to an older age group but will have the choice to remain with their same-aged peers.

• Inclement Weather

  • Rain or shine. We have access to the gym in case of showers/lightning for most programs. Lighting and rain are not major concerns for NSSA. We play it safe.

• LUNCH & SNACKS

  • Please ensure that participants have a good breakfast, especially those getting dropped off at 8 am.

  • Participants have snacks at 1015-10:30:

  • Participants have lunch at 11:45-12:015

    1. They can bring their own lunch or you can purchase pizza, Gatorade, and ice cream daily

  • Aftercare snack

    1. Participants should bring a 2nd snack for aftercare if needed

  • Please inform your child daily what they are having for lunch. NSSA will do whatever we can to ensure every kid eats, but mistakes happen here and there, so make sure you kids are told to speak up about food. 

  • My staff has all been directed to make sure kids eat and drink properly throughout the day

• PIZZA FOR LUNCH

  • Pizza is available at lunch at the cost of $2.50 per slice.

  • Order on the morning of or for the week in advance.

  • Rose garden wood-fired pizza delivered fresh daily or Main street in  Upton

• WATER & GATORADE

  • Iced water containers/water fountains are available all day for kids to refill.

  • Cups will be provided, but feel free to bring your own water bottle.

  • Gatorade is sold for $1.50 on-site, during lunch.

• STAFF

  • NSSA aims to keep under a 1--10 coach to athlete ratio.

• BATHROOM BREAKS

  • All Participants should be potty trained.

  • Participants will have full access to bathrooms in the school. 

    1. Younger kids (k-1) will have set 30-minute bathroom/water breaks

    2. Older kids will have fewer scheduled breaks but more flexibility to take bathroom breaks per request.

• INJURIES & MEDICAL CONDITIONS

  • Please discuss medical concerns with us personally upon registration to ensure medical concerns have been noted.

    1. Please prepare medical needs in a labeled plastic bag

  • Ice bags and medical equipment is supplied

• WHAT TO BRING

  • Each clinic has different requirements on what to bring:

  • Water bottle, sunscreen, lunch (or money to buy lunch), snack, and indoor/outdoor footwear to all camps.

MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED
