Why Should I Volunteer?

WHY SHOULD I VOLUNTEER?
Bay City Girls Softball Association operates because of the generous time given by its board members and countless other volunteers. Bay City Softball will always try to provide a place where our children can safely learn to play t-ball and girls softball and will continue to be a place where we will strive to instill character, confidence and self-esteem through competitive and fun play. Because volunteers are the lifeblood of this league we need your help to sustain it.

How you can help BCGSA

Coaches - Every team needs that special person to step up and lead all those smiling faces.
Team mom/Team manager - Helps the coach manage the team helping with fundraising and uniform orders or in any other capacity as needed by the head coach.

Concession workers - Help and volunteer their time in the concession stand to help sell food, candy and drinks.  Must be 16 years of age or older. Will be refunded $20 upon completion of 3 hours of concession help. Helpers will not be scheduled during their child's game.
Umpires - Paid umpires officiate and call the games declaring a winner after each one.
Scorekeepers - Book and Scoreboard - Home team manages the book and visiting team operates the scoreboard for ages 8U and above.
Board Members - Directors are currently needed in a few divisions. Scroll to the Board of Directors tab to see all open positions.

Click on the tab "Volunteer Opportunities" and choose what is best for you or sign up when you register your child.
