PARENT INFORMATION

1) WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION FEES? Fall Ball

3) WHERE DOES MY SPONSOR MONEY GO?
Corporate sponsor
money goes directly to BCGSA to help with league expenses. Corporate sponsors are recognized with a banner placed on one or more fields.
Team sponsor money of $300 goes to the team for their sponsor name on the team shirt. Sponsors will be limited to only one per team and any other sponsors wishing to sponsor will get free advertisement with a banner and their business name on our website.

5) WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?

The league supplies basic equipment assigned to coaches: catcher's gear, balls and bases (as requested) however you may choose to purchase balls or bases on your own. Included in the registration fee are: uniform shirt, ASA insurance, umpire fees, and basic equipment purchase.  The following is a list of items that must be purchased by the parent unless noted:

  • Softball Glove
  • Softball Bat (w/USA/ASA approved stamp) 
  • Batting Helmet with Faceguard, and chin strap
  • Face Guard for Pitcher, 1st and 3rd base players (Mandatory for 8u and above)
  • Molded cleats for t-ball through 14U. (14U can wear metal cleats)
  • Sliding Shorts (recommended but not required for 10U+)
  • Socks according to coach
  • Pants according to coach
  • 12U AND UNDER NO METAL CLEATS!!!


6) WHERE, WHEN & WHAT DAYS ARE PRACTICES?

Your coach will call you as soon as teams are formed. If you have not received a phone call from your coach by January 20th please use the contact information above to get in direct contact with any of our executive board members.

7) WHERE & WHEN DO WE PLAY GAMES?

All games will be played at Bay City Girls Softball fields, 1120  Ave. M & Grace St.  All games will be played on Monday, Thursday & Saturday. Visit this website often to stay informed regarding games, practices, etc.

8) SOME THINGS TO REMEMBER

OPEN REGISTRATION - Nov. thru Jan.
Try-outs for 8U - 14U TBD
Opening Ceremonies TBD
Games Begin in Mid February
Mark Ebel League Tournament (6u and above) -TBD
Closing Ceremonies are in April

9) WHAT IF I WANT A REFUND?

Our goal is to be flexible and fair. We will reasonably respond to any situation that arises.  We ask for you to understand our needs in respect of a time frame wherein we can fairly respond. Once teams have been formed and uniforms ordered, barring highly unusual or unforeseen circumstances, refunds will not be issued.

10) Are there any SPECIAL TRAINING AND/OR CLINICS?

We attempt to host pitching clinics, as well as general skills clinics. Information will be provided as they are available. You can also seek out individual training for your player (pitching, batting, catching). Ask your coach or a board member for more information or possible contacts.

11) HOW CAN I HELP OUT?

There are many ways! Each team needs volunteers and your support is key to ensuring a successful season for the team. Your fees do not pay any salaries - we are all volunteers and we all have full time jobs. It can be done by working together.

Board Member (For any open position available)
Trophy committee
Put up signs before season
Take down signs after season
Concession duty
Field work 
Team Scorekeeper/Scoreboard Operator
