LIGHTNING POLICY

Effective Immediately:  If you hear thunder or see lightning, you are to suspend activities immediately and move ALL individuals to a safe place.  The ONLY SAFE PLACE at the Little League as defined by NOAA is a metal, hard top vehicle with the windows up.  Please make sure all kids on your team are in a safe place before you find a safe place for yourself.  When you first meet with your team, please explain this rule to all parents.  Ask for their assistance in helping each child to safety and explain it may become necessary to let kids whose parents are not at the field sit in their vehicles until their parents arrive, or it is safe to resume activities. 

DO NOT RESUME ACTIVITIES UNTIL 30 MINUTES HAVE PASSED SINCE THE LAST THUNDER WAS HEARD OR LIGHTNING WAS SEEN.  THE CLOCK RESETS EVERY TIME YOU HEAR THUNDER OR SEE LIGHTNING.

There are NO exceptions to this rule!

Anyone violating this policy will face disciplinary action up to and including removal from the Granville Little League.
