Throughout the 2017-2018 year, HAA has been working very hard to honor and pay tribute to a few special individuals who had made a huge impact during their lives. First off is Skip Palmer, a former coach who passed away in 2017 and was extremely instrumental in the development of hundreds of players during his time with HAA. The entire dugout project is named after Skip, and his family has been integral in
Along with the dedication to Skip, we have also decided to name two of the dugouts in honor of two players who passed away throughout the last years, Will Pilarski and Connor Michalek. Both boys played for HAA for years (Will through Mustang, Connor through Pinto) and displayed the highest level of sportsmanship while they were with us, and this tribute will ensure that both of them will be in our minds forever.
Hampton Athletic Association (HAA) is proud to announce a Capital Campaign to raise funds for the construction of dugouts at the McCully Fields located inside the beautiful Hampton Community Park. These fields are home to over 800 baseball and softball players a year! Plans include the construction of new dugouts at each of the three fields, extension of the backstop area on two fields, replacement of fencing where needed, reconfiguration of spectator seating for better views of the game, laser leveling of all three fields, and scoreboard replacement. These improvements will be started upon the completion of the spring baseball and softball season (early July 2018) and is expected to be finished in time for the 2018 fall season. All donors will be recognized at the new dugouts at McCully Field in a permanent manner, via inscribed plaques based on Contribution Tiers. Consider donating to show your personal or business support of area baseball and softball, to support community-based projects, or to pay tribute to your family or loved ones.
