Long Island Soccer Coach Mark Secko

Mark Secko has been playing soccer since he was 9 years old. He played with Sound Beach United for his first 2 years before then playing with Terryville Fire for the next 7 years. While playing with the Terryville Fire, they won the Tampa Sun Bowl Champions in 2006. In 2007, they won the New York State Champions, Region 1 Champions and the US Youth Soccer National Champions. While Mark was playing for Terryville Fire he was also playing for St Anthony's High School from 2003-2007. During those years, he acquired the 2003 Undefeated Freshman League Champions, 2004 JV MVP, 2005 CHSAA New York State Champions, and 2006 Varsity Started. He also played as the ODP Team started from 2004-2006 and was the 2006 Region 1 Runner-up.

Mark then played for the Stony Brook University Men's Soccer Team from 2007-2008 and in 2007 was part of the America East Conference All-Rookie Team. From Stony Brook, Mark moved to Clarkson University Men's Soccer Team and played for them for the next two years. In 2009, they were All-league Honorable Mention and 2010 all-league second team. In 2010, they won the All-league Second Team and played as the Team Captain. In addition, Mark also played for the Long Island Rough Riders from 2011 to 2012.

Marks extensive playing experience has fueled his passion to coach soccer. He has received the NSCAA Level 5 Diploma, and has been a US Club Soccer Club Coach. As of 2013 Mark coaches Score FC (US Club Soccer) and the Long Island Rough Riders Select Program. From 2013 to present, Mark has been coaching soccer at St. Anthony's High School as the assistant Frenchmen and Varsity coach. Mark also coached from 2013 to 2014 as the DC-12 Academy Coach.
