SUMMER is coming so you know what is next. U23 Summer league time. This league is very competitive and we are looking for players who are serious and are eager to get ready for college soccer.

“Score FC has helped me develop as a player going to the varsity level in high school to the collegiate level as a D3 soccer player. The main help it gave was the opportunity to play as much as possible with coaches who still have a passion for the game. Playing 3-4 times a week it gave me the time I needed to develop as a player and set me in the right direction to the player I will become.”

“Score helped me throughout my high school career because of the way it wasn’t only soccer, it was academics, soccer and life on and off the field. Coach Alvaro would check our grades based on either quarter or cut the academic year in half so winter/midterm grades and final grades. The training style in the winter would be more strength oriented in the morning and skills than a scrimmage. In the spring, it would be differentiated between practices, but every practice we would scrimmage. I think the training covers all areas and prepared me for the college game easily, and will train with Score for a while to come.”

“I am a freshman at Clarkson University on the Men's Varsity Soccer team. Being on the Score FC team was a big part of high school for me. Maintaining good grades is half the requirement of being on the team. As well physical ability the Score coaching staff stresses excellence in the classroom as well as on the pitch. Without the motivation for being on the team to better my physical ability and push my limits I would not have made the team at my college.”

“The Score FC program has made a huge impact on my life, both in school and on the soccer field. The values I learned in training sessions such as hard work and not cutting corners transferred to my school work. I joined the program my junior year of high school, this was when I had my two highest averages of high school. My 4 year average was a 95.6. I currently attend and play soccer at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. The vigorous training sessions over the summer and throughout the year put me in good mental and physical shape for college.”

“Score FC has been a cornerstone in my development as a player and a person over my high school years. Al Phan has been an inspiration to me and many of the other players to push ourselves to the best of our abilities on and off the field. Playing with Score FC gave me the confidence and soccer intelligence to go from playing only a few minutes a game to a starter for the team. Although I do not play in college, I truly respect all that Al and Ernesto Phan have done for not only me but all of the other players at Score FC. I truly am thankful for all you have done for me and I hope that Score FC does well over the next few years and all the years to come.”

“I have been a part of the Score organization for junior high and stayed with it all the way through high school. All the games, the tournaments and the practices taught me a lot about hard work and dedication. Most of all I am extremely happy with the friends I made over the years on this team. Even though I am not playing soccer in college, I will use all that I learned from the coaches and the team in everyday life. I will always cherish the memories I have with my score family.”

“Score FC gave me the skills and knowledge of the game to play at a competitive high school level. Training with Score FC gave me the leadership skills to be captain of my varsity team during my senior year. Score FC also instilled in me a driving work ethic to compete at the division 3 college level.”

“Being a part of the scoring team was one of the best decisions I've made. Not only did I develop as a player, but also as a person throughout the whole process. Though I decided not to play collegiate soccer, Score got me to the level I wanted to be at and built me up to be a confident player. This is one team I'd highly recommend to any player at any level.”

Glen T. Boehmer

“My experience with Ernesto and Alvaro Phan’s Score FC team was an excellent one. The coaches provided great training to prepare our team to compete against some of the best teams in the country. In addition to offering outstanding team training, Al and Ernesto truly got to know each player and helped each of us to improve individually. The Score at the Shore tournament was very well organized and attracted many college coaches from schools in which I was interested. When it came to recruiting, Al and Ernesto were very helpful in speaking to college coaches on my behalf and preparing me for the physical rigor of college Soccer once I had been accepted. Playing on this team was definitely worthwhile, as I received excellent training and had a fun experience.”

“The experiences gained both on and off the field with the Score team built a foundation for not only my college career but my future as a whole. From year to year my network of friends grew larger and so did my knowledge of the game. The skills and understanding of Soccer that are focused on by the Coaching Staff are unlike any trainers I've ever played for. I can truly say that I am a better player and future coach thanks to Score at the Shore Soccer.”

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity both Ernesto and Alvaro Phan, and the Score at the Shore Team has provided me with. The training sessions and competitive environment allowed me to develop and mature as a player, and allowed me to be recruited to play at the NCAA Division I collegiate level. I had a wonderful experience with the program, formed lasting friendships, and highly recommend it to anyone interested in taking their Soccer career to the next level.”

“The experience with the team score was one I will never forget. It was great preparation for college as well as great coaching. Alvaro and Ernesto were among the best Coaches I have had throughout my Soccer career. They helped me reach my potential, which led me to play at a Division I college. Al and Ernesto was always extremely positive and had a great relationship with each and every one of their players. They cared about improving the overall team, as well as improving each player individually. As we got closer to our college careers, training sessions were really structured to help us be ready for processing. The tactical, small-sided games, and drills we did at practice really help improve me as a player. Doing fitness before and after every practice made it an easier transition to college ball. The scoring team was overall a great experience and a big part of my Soccer career. The trips, the girls, Alvaro and Ernesto, and the high level of Soccer, was one I will remember forever. Not only did I walk away being a Champion of the Score at the Shore tournament, but I walked away with great friends, great Coaches, and great skill of the game. Let me know when I can come back and play!!!”

“I joined Score FC in 2006, the summer of my freshman year of high school. Both my older sister and I decided to play for Alvaro and Ernesto Phan and trust them with our college futures. Overall it had been a great Experience for me, I have learned so much from both Ernesto and Alvaro. They helped me develop as a player and as a young adult. They always expressed the importance of being a student-athlete and my teammates and I have always appreciated it. Our practices were well run and focused on all of the important fundamentals, even though no one looked forward to 7AM Saturday morning beach training. Our tournaments didn’t always go smoothly, but our coaches always pushed us to work for improvement. In all my years there, my team always got along well, there close to no drama whatsoever. There was no individual blame on anyone and playing time wasn’t an issue, everything is fair. Ernesto and Alvaro always listened to what I had to say and they were never unrealistic in their expectations for any of us. Score at the Shore has been a big part of my life, one that I can look back on and smile.”

“My experience on the Score at the Shore Team was truly unforgettable. We weren’t just a team, but a family as well. The Coaches, players, and parents were all very supportive of one another. The impact that the coaches made for us players shined on and off the field. They pushed us athletically to become the best player we could possibly be, but also taught us life lessons and how academics are just as important, if not more, than our athletic ability. Being a part of this team helped me develop into a stronger and more confident player. The coaches are extremely kind and willing to do anything for you. Being a part of this team was a great experience, and a large part of the reason why I am able to play in college today.”

“My experience with the Score FC team was a very memorable one. I greatly enjoyed playing on a team where every player had the same mentality to improve their skills, make each other better Soccer player, and to win. The coaching staff cared about every single player and we're dedicated to making us better Soccer players, as well as getting each of us into the best college suitable for ourselves.”

“My Score FC experience will be one of those memories that I will always think of when I think of playing Soccer. With the help of Alvaro and Ernesto I was about to tap into that potential which I had been trying to find for years, and develop into the player I had worked hard to become. Practices have been always to our benefit as players, we were pushed to our limits and exposed to game tactics and speed of play that are necessary for players looking to play at the college level. More importantly the support system was there to help you grow as people, young women and men, not just as Soccer players. I am thankful to have had this experience and to have developed the relationships that I have with Alvaro and Ernesto and would encourage others to work with them.”

“Being a member of the ‘Score at the Shore’ program was extremely beneficial to my college acceptance. It prepared me for success on the field as well as in the classroom. The coaching staff exposed me to college level drills, competition, and work ethic. The focus on skills, technical and tactical field play were aspects that only helped me improve as a Soccer player. If there was something specific that I needed personal help with, it was voiced and I could use the constructive criticism to make me a better player. Aside from the athletic part of the ‘Score FC ” program, the coaching staff was supportive towards academics. They made sure players were focused and working hard. They tied the academics and athletic ability to find a fitting college for each player. The support and belief that the Coaching Staff imposed on me helped me in my college choice, acceptance, and success. Currently, playing Soccer as a sophomore at Dowling College, I can only look back and be thankful for what the ‘Score at the Shore’ program has done for me. It is a unique Soccer program that does not compare to others on Long Island. I recommend this program for future Soccer players, whether it is fair training, exposure, or pure fitness.”

“I am a college senior that just finished my last college Soccer season at Greensboro College. I attended the Score at the Shore Showcase Tournament in my junior year of high school and summer going into my senior year of high school. I am grateful for having the opportunity to have played in both tournaments. The girls on the team were some of the best female Soccer players on Long Island. It prepared me for college because playing with a team of girls all with great skill and great technique made us all work harder, which is what an individual inspiring to be a college Soccer player needs to do because every college practice, and game is always an opportunity to fight for a starting position as well as better yourself. My coaches were Ernesto Phan and Alvaro Phan. Both coaches prepared us very well, not only in the game of Soccer, but for college as well. Both Ernesto and Alvaro explained to each of us how to approach a college coach, as well as the correct way to speak or email them. They consistently prepared us for the upcoming tournaments by getting us in shape and various technical Soccer drills that we needed in order to improve as Soccer players.”

“The training and support that I received from the coaching staff at Score helped me to excel in my game preparing me to play at the Division I level. I began training with Score when I was 14 and continued until I was recruited to Sacred Heart University. The experience provided to me by the coaching staff was tremendous and increased my passion and understanding of the game. The dynamic training style combined all aspects of the game, allowing for me to develop to my full potential to play at the collegiate level. My experience with Score helped prepare me for college through advancing my strength, speed, skill and knowledge of the game.”
